Frequently Asked Questions...

DO YOU FILL OTHER LASH TECH'S WORK?

Yes I can. I'll cleanse and comb through your lashes checking everything over and if I am able to continue to fill I will. If I deem the other techs work as unsuitable to be filled, I'll remove the lashes and do as much as I can in the time I've got. I may re-book you and charge an in between price so as not a refill but not quite a full set so that you can achieve lashes fuller than Kim K's butt!

It's of utmost importance to me that I maintain my standard and quality of work so I don't like leaving clients with a half full set of lashes due to lack of time from another techs work being unfillable. Sometimes I see great work from other techs so it's not always a problem. I'm here to help and ensure everyone that sees me walks away with comfortable, correctly applied, beautiful lashes!

If you're experiencing pain, itching, swelling, redness, or discomfort of any type from another lash techs work - please contact me about this and book a full set - I'll allow extra time for a complimentary removal for you. I care very much about the health of my clients natural lashes and I like to offer removals free of charge to my new clients as an extension of this.. plus - who doesn't like freebies as a welcome gesture!

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NEW LASHES?

1)  Brush + cleanse daily if you're a regular make-up wearer - otherwise cleansing every 2-3 days is just fine for non make-up wearers. I'll teach you how to cleanse during your appointment - its very simple and easy. Brushing daily and as needed throughout the day is also recommended as it prevents you from picking and touching your eyelash extensions instead.

2)  Wearing make-up as you normally would is completely fine - however please never wear mascara over your eyelash extensions. Be mindful of what products you're putting close to your lashline. Eyelash extensions don't like oil. Products with oil in them actually break down the bond of the lash adhesive which will cause your new lashes to fall off prematurely. This may include certain eyeshadows, eyeliners, mascaras, foundations, moisturisers etc. I suggest being mindful of product ingredients, however most importantly as mentioned earlier - pay the most attention to what products you apply near the base of your eyelash extensions where they are bonded to your natural eyelashes. In saying all of that - please don't feel afraid to wear makeup with your eyelash extensions. I'm always here for you to ask any questions to if you feel you need extra information or support with this. As long as you're cleansing your lashes when you remove your make-up, everything should be fine. Always only use the lash cleaner I provide you with!

3)  Please don't touch or pick at your eyelash extensions. Natural oils and potential contaminates on your skin can dirty your lashes pretty quickly and cause premature loss of lashes, potential infection and damage to the natural lash if being pulled or picked. Natural lash health is number one as without healthy natural eyelashes, I cannot apply a beautiful full set of eyelash extensions! Always use your lash brush provided instead of your hands!

4)  Try not to sleep on your face or directly on your eyelashes if sleeping on your side. This can actually cause your lashes to bend and move on an unnatural angle which could cause premature loss of eyelash extensions. Friction from rubbing your face on your pillow may also cause this. Always remember whatever happens to your eyelash extensions also happens to your natural lashes! Sometimes I have seen natural eyelashes permanently bent inwards on one particular side of the outer corner due to clients side sleeping on their lashes. If this happens, it means your eyelash extensions will mimic the direction of your natural eyelashes and on one eye, you'll notice your lashes don't fan out as nicely on the outer corner as the other eye does. This will not effect the perfect application of your eyelash extensions - its purely just an aesthetic thing, however upon noticing this I'll always point it out so as to ensure you're mindful of how you sleep with eyelash extensions on. My goal is for you to get maximum lash retention! Not everyone has bent in natural lashes either and with time it can self correct as your natural lashes shed and regrow.

5)  Maintain regular refill appointments! This is optimal for maintaining an even, thick and full set of healthy eyelash extensions. By scheduling regular refill appointments you won't notice uneven amounts of lashes on each eye and any grown out extensions will be removed and replaced promptly.

6)  Wetting your eyelash extensions is fine. You can swim and shower as per normal - just be mindful of cleansing, drying and brushing your eyelash extensions afterwards - I will teach you a very simple and easy way to do this during your appointment.

SHOULD I BOOK A REFILL OR ANOTHER FULL SET?

To qualify for a refill you must have 40%-50% of lashes still remaining. If less than 40% remains, there simply won't be enough time to fill your lashes back up to what they were at your last appointment and you'll need to book another full set. Refilling lashes with less than 40% would mean a huge compromise of my work standard and I strive to ensure everyone gets the most out of their time with me. In saying that, it's very rare to have less than 40% of lashes remaining after 2-3 weeks following correct aftercare. Sometimes natural eyelashes go through growth phases and you may lose more lashes than usual, however very rarely will this result in less than 40% remaining after 2-3 weeks which is my recommended time for a refill. I always recommend starting with booking a refill every 2 weeks and getting a feel for your natural growth pattern before trying for 3-4 weeks between refills.

Please contact me and send current photos of your lashes if need be so I can assess the situation for you and advise you to the best of my ability before you make your booking. Alternatively, I may charge an in between price so as not a full set, but more than a refill depending on the situation. Deciding this will be at my discretion at the time of your appointment so always book a full set regardless.

ALLERGY INFORMATION

I am in no way or means qualified to give out medical advice, nor should this piece of information be taken as so - however it is important that I share some common knowledge on allergic reactions and what I recommend doing in case of the event.

An allergic reaction to eyelash extensions and their products involved can happen at any time. The main symptoms of allergies within the world of eyelash extensions to look out for are sudden swelling, puffiness, redness, and discomfort around the eye area generally focussed on the upper eyelid closest to where the eyelash extensions are applied. Often your eyelids may feel tight and look shiny from the swelling. What

I recommended doing is treating the symptoms first, and then if needed I can remove the eyelash extensions for you after that. I recommend seeing a doctor for the appropriate treatment to absolve any allergy symptoms first. The reason we need to treat the symptoms of the allergy first is because if I add any further product onto the eye area whilst your experiencing allergic reactions, this may be extra uncomfortable and also cause further irritation to your eyes making the reaction worse. The most common product an allergy stems from is the black pigment in the specialist eye adhesives used, however allergies can also stem from tape and other supplies involved in the process of eyelash extensions too. It is possible to continue having eyelash extensions after experiencing an allergic reaction. There are multiple ways we can work around this, however first and foremost - speak to a trusted medical professional such as doctor.
