Artistry By Hayley only uses premium top quality double drawn Russian human hair on all extensions for consistency and longevity wether that be in the form of weft extensions, clip in extensions or halo extensions.
Weft Extensions Information
Weft extensions are a permanent wear style of hair extensions which are very carefully hand sewn into the natural hair using a simple technique involving micro beads that are both comfortable and safe to wear as well as unnoticeable as hair extensions.
The process of weft hair extensions is painless, gentle on your natural hair, will not damage or restrict growth of your natural hair and normally does not take more than a few hours to install depending on the amount of hair being used.
Weft hair extensions are installed in neat and clean horizontal rows. Due to the way these rows are installed, they will never tangle together or become matted at the base. Weft extensions are very easy to brush and wash around when shampooing - you can even get your hair coloured with the extensions installed!
A full head of weft extensions is generally 2 rows of hair, however clients may have anywhere from 1 - 4 rows installed depending on head size, personal preference, what you’re trying to achieve wether that be thickness, length, more dimension etc, and the state of your natural hair.
Once your weft hair extensions are in place, they then need to be “cut in” to blend with your natural hair and to achieve your desired length. Artistry By Hayley does not offer any cutting or colouring services - these will need to be arranged by a hairdresser. It is recommended to book your blend cut in on the same day your weft extensions are installed.
Your new hair extensions can then be washed, styled/heat styled and cared for just as your natural hair would. The hair should easily last up to 1 year before needing to be replaced with a new full head of extensions upon following correct aftercare.
In between the time your new extensions are installed and before you reach the point of wearing them for 1 year, as your hair grows, your extensions will need to be moved back up close to your scalp every 6-10 weeks. These appointments are called adjustments. Often clients will like to time their hair extension adjustments with their hair colour appointments which generally happen at the same time. Otherwise it’s completely fine to get your hair coloured whilst the extensions are in and your adjustment appointment can be scheduled afterwards.
All clients wanting hair extensions are required to first book in for a free consultation to discuss your hair goals, what you’re wanting to achieve with extensions, how much hair you’ll need and how much it’s going to cost etc. A colour match will also be performed to ensure your extensions will seamlessly match the colour of your natural hair. If you wish to proceed with booking your hair extension appointment, payment in full is required upon booking so that Artistry By Hayley can order your hair extensions in. All hair extensions ordered usually arrive within 1 week so your install appointment will be pre booked within that timeframe. All full heads of weft hair extensions come with professional extension safe shampoo and conditioner which will prolong the life and high quality of your new hair.
Clip-In Extensions
If you're looking for a quick, easy way to achieve long, thick hair within just a few minutes, clip in extensions may be perfect for you. Clip in hair extensions are a temporary method of hair extensions, meaning that you can put them in or take them out whenever you desire. Simply clip them into your hair yourself! Clip in hair extensions come in the style of a full head or just a ponytail option. A full head of clip in hair extensions comes with multiple pieces of hair which you can organise and layer to create the final result. A ponytail clip in hair extension is simply just one piece. This particular style of hair extensions saves you the additional costs and time required to visit a salon to have your new hair installed and maintained by a professional - however you may wish to arrange for a professional blend cut of your clip in extensions so as to seamlessly be worn with your natural hair style.
